How Griha Vastu works — every path, step by step

One principle runs through everything: every reading is measured from the centre of your own home or your own birth details — nothing is generic. You sign in once with your email (a one-time code, no password), and everything you save stays in your account. Works the same in the Android app and at app.retrogradearc.com.

  1. Open the app — the quick check is the first thing you see.
  2. Picture yourself standing at the centre of your home, and answer two taps: which direction is your toilet, and which is your kitchen?

🏠 Home Vastu Analysis — your real floor plan

The heart of the app: your actual floor plan on the classical 16-direction and 32-pada grids, judged room by room from a curated Vastu knowledge base.

  1. Add your floor plan — three ways: upload a photo or image of an existing plan, draw it in the app with simple wall lines (2–3 minutes), or in the Android app, AR-scan the rooms by walking through them with your camera.
  2. Set the bounding area — trace the outer walls of your home. This one step matters most: the app finds your home's true centre from this outline, and every direction is measured from there.
  3. Label the rooms — tap each room and pick what it is (kitchen, bedroom, toilet, pooja room… entrance included).
  4. Set the facing direction — stand facing your main door and use the phone's compass in the app, or type the degree if you already know it.
  5. Save the plan — it goes into My Account → Saved homes, so you never redo this work.
  6. Read the analysis — entrance verdict on the 32-pada ring, every room on the 16 directions, with what each placement is doing to the home Free on screen
  7. Get the report — one PDF with your gridded floor plan, every verdict, and the remedies, emailed and saved to your account
📷 Uploading a photo? Crop it to just the floor plan first — no chat captions, no table edges, the straighter the better. The cleaner the image, the truer your centre and grids.
